Times table / Division facts - Times tables are vital to accessing other concepts in maths.  It is therefore extremely important we keep practising these weekly.  Please access TTRS at least 3 times per week to keep this knowledge sharp.  Your new test day is Thursday.

Our learning this week in Year 5

English

In English, We have been working on our grammar skills, inparticular colons and semi colons.

Maths

In Maths we have moved onto division and using the chunking method.  It has been a little tricky, especially when we've had remainders and word problems but the class have done an amazing job using a growth mindset.

Foundation subject.

Photos from last week's trip to the museum can be found in the gallery.

This week we have been working on our joint production with Year 6.  There has been lots of singing and the children are now working on a little bit of dancing.

We have also been working on our Sport's days skills and there is some big competition out there.  We look forward to welcoming our adults to watch in a couple of weeks.

Have a great weekend
