Dear Parents,

This week we have read the Easter Story and asked 'Why do Christians believe Easter is all about love?'

In small groups we discussed who we love and who loves us.

We acted out the story of Palm Sunday and tasted Hot Cross buns to think about what happened on Good Friday.

We have made Easter cards, Easter nests, wreaths and used our subitising skills to find different ways of making 5 using Easter Eggs with sweets on them! 

Phonics Homework

Thankyou for all your help with our Phonics again this half term. Please read with your child over the holidays and keep practising the tricky words! We will need to continue to practise correct letter formation again next half term as shown on the sheets we sent home a couple of weeks ago. Show and Tell

I have attached some Easter activities in the files section. These can be shown for Show and Tell the first week back.

Reading Books

 Please ensure they are sent in every day as we do have reading helpers who can also listen to child in School. The ideal is a little time spent every night looking at the book together and enjoying it! 

Library Books

Library books will be coming home tonight.

Please return by Wednesday each week ready to be changed on Friday.

Reminders

- Please make sure hair is tied up for PE (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

- Please ensure all your child's clothes are named. Could you also check that you haven't ended up with anybody elses clothes as we still have a couple of cardigans missing!

- If your child needs to use lip balm could you please send it in in a named bag for the teachers to look after and oversee them putting it on.
