Homework
Reading - Reading is one of the most important skills for children to master as it unlocks their imagination and allows them to access the rest of the curriculum. Please read with your child every night. Asking questions improves key reading skills, such as retrieval and inference. E.g. "Why do you think the character is unhappy?"
Please note that reading books will be changed when completed. Please write a note in your child's reading record book when a book has been completed and sign the relevant parent signature box. Thank you in advance.
Spellings - Please find this weeks spellings below and a link to spelling frame.
Please note that our spelling quiz will be on Thursday 20th March

Geography Fact of the Week!
Mrs. Macdonald (our Geography boffin) has had a great idea! To make sure our knowledge of the world is solid, each class will be spotlighting a different country in Europe. We have Denmark!
Each week, we will find and share a new fact on the blog...
Forms of Media
Public Danmarks Radio (DR) runs national TV networks and national and regional radio.
TV2 is a government-owned commercial station. The main privately-owned TVs broadcast via digital terrestrial, satellite and cable.

Our learning this week in Year 4
English
We have been looking at diary entries this week, using them to infer the thoughts and feelings of the fiend Grendel...
What can I say, the vocabulary was incredible, with both Iona and Jacob being awarded stickers this morning, for their fantastic pieces of writing.
Maths
It is that time of the year... 'Along the corridor, and up the stairs' the same way coordinates have been taught for years and years!
We found it easy! As soon as we got our heads around the X and Y axis, and how X comes before Y in the alphabet, we knew exactly how to identify a coordinate point!
Have a fantastic weekend!
