There will be a phonics meeting for parents on Friday 21st March at 3pm to discuss the Phonics Screening Check that takes place in June.

English
In English this week we have been learning about action verbs and how the word changes when it happened in the past.

CHALLENGE: How many verbs can you spot in your reading book?
Maths
In Maths we have been weighing using grams and recognising 2D shapes.
Can you answer our challenges?

History
To finish our topic on transport we wrote a fact file all about George Stephenson.

Reading

Please read every night with your child. This will help them with their learning throughout the curriculum
Spellings
To help practise their weekly spellings, the children now have access to spelling frame. This is an online platform used throughout school with interactive games and spellings tests for the children to use. I am able to see how the children are performing throughout the week and there is a leader board to keep track of their points. Please click on the image below for a shortcut to Spelling Frame.
We will continue to quiz the children each Thursday.
Our focus this half term is tricky words. Please see our class page for the half termly overview and additional sentences.

SHOW AND TELL
Show and Tell will continue on a Friday. If your child is bringing something to share, please practise what they are wanting to say at home. This will help build their confidence and oracy skills when speaking in front of others.
Have a fantastic weekend.
