English
Throughout the week, the children have been working hard to answer reading comprehension questions, focusing on both retrieval and inference skills. We have also been focusing on our knowledge of nouns, verbs, adjectives, plurals, as well as punctuation. At the end of the week, we continued to focus on the text Dear Earth. We will study examples of formal letters next week to help us with our letter writing activity to the Earth.![]() |

Maths
In our maths lessons this week we have been applying our knowledge of arithmetic methods and reasoning skills. We have also been learning about how to find quarters of lengths using bar models.

RE
In our RE lesson, we thought about why Easter matters to Christians. The children were able to recognise that God, Incarnation, Gospel and Salvation are part of the ‘big story’ of the Bible. They were able to tell stories of Holy Week and Easter, making a link with the idea of Salvation (Jesus rescuing people). We also explored ideas about whether the text has something to say to them (for example, about whether forgiveness is important).
ComputingWe have been covering the topic of Effective Searching in our computing sessions. This week, we created a leaflet (using Purple Mash) to help someone search for information on the Internet.
