This week they need to complete Set C Test 1.
Spellings -From today (Friday 10th), we will look at prefixes and roots. Please see below for a selection of spellings and children can access their latest test on Spelling Frame.

Our learning this week in Year 6
English
We have introduced ourselves the crime genre this week, specifically the Wild West! Diving into our new novel, Holes, has been really interesting. Our writing focus has been to create a non-fiction text describing the characteristics of the desert setting.
Maths
Once again we return to place value knowledge, but this time looking at decimal numbers. This provides a solid foundation for understanding how to add, subtract, multiply and divide integers and decimals.
Art
During their art lesson, Year 6 have been continuing to develop their pencil drawing skills through still life. This week they have drawn pictures of various glass bottles, with an emphasis on capturing the reflection of light.
