Dear Parents,
Year 6 have had a great week. We have enjoyed exploring outside as part of our science lesson and having playtimes on the field is always a joy!
SATS Bootcamp Homework

Spellings: Please see below for spellings; practise using Spelling Frame, Spelling Shed and your spelling journal.
Our learning this week in Year 6
Thank you for our contributions about Slovakia! You can research anything that interests you; including footballers, food or fashion. Let's have the best Country noticeboard in Key Stage 2!
English
This week we have delved into the fascinating character of Lady MacBeth. We have identified her changing emotions, focusing initially upon her ambition. The children have written letters in repsonse to MacBeth's letter from the battlefield. The children have continued to check their work carefully and we have discussed ways of ensuring that our sentences make sense!
Maths
This week we have looked at statistics. This has included learning how to read bus and train timetables, which may come in handy one day!
RE
This week we have spent lots of time diving into the meaning of salvation for Christians. We have considered what scripture and hymns teach us about this and how it can be connected to our everyday lives.
Science
It was wonderful to take our learning outside this week as we gathered plant samples to take back into the classroom. We considered the different features of plants and how scientists have used these observable characteristics to classfiy them.
