Our learning this week in Year 6
Thank you for our contributions about Slovakia! You can research anything that interests you; including footballers, food or fashion. Let's have the best Country noticeboard in Key Stage 2!
English
This week we have written hotel reviews. We have enjoyed having a 3D virtual tour of several hotels on which to base our reviews.
Maths
We have been finding missing angles; this includes in triangles and quadrilaterals, as well as on a straight line. The children have been using logical thinking to answer more challenging questions. They have also completed an arithmetic test, so watch out for this as they bring it home.
RE
We have looked at the significance and tradition of Shrove Tuesday and reflected on this. We have also reminded ourselves of the Islam tradition of Ramadan and drawn some comparisons with Lent.
Science week
What a wonderful week of science activities we have had! We spent Monday in our mixed-class groups, rotating around a number of activities, including a giant map (taking up half of our hall). This was followed by Adrian's Travelling Science show on Tuesday, before finishing with STEM activities in Thursday. Check out our blog for some snapshots.
