Our history curriculum aims to inspire children’s curiosity about life in the past, to help them to ask questions, think critically and to give them a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain’s past and that of the wider world.

Key Knowledge

In history, children are taught both core, substantive knowledge (facts and information which lay the foundations for depth of understanding) and disciplinary knowledge (methods used by historians to find out about the past).
